Even if you do not have an actual garden room per se, you can have a garden inspired room. Additions to any space, whether it have a view of a garden or not, can make a space feel alive. Some ideas include floral murals painted on the wall, floral wallpaper only inserted in sections of a paneled wall, multiple accessories such as curtains, pillows or rugs with flowers worked into patterns.

The way I brought the beauty of nature into my otherwise traditional boudoir was through a folding screen. I inserted gorgeous sections of a silk material with handpainted vines dancing across it. To keep the vines as the focus, I painted the wooden bars surrounding the fabric the same underlying colour of café au lait . This made the various shades of green found in the painted vines stand out as though they were real. The screen also created privacy for me, and now this are finally feels entirely dedicated to me.
