The Debate Over Traditional Gender Colours for Baby Rooms

Even though it is not a new topic, it does seem like there has been a lot of talk recently about gender and babies. You know as in how they establish their gender identity, and if some parents are forcing small children to choose to lean toward being girlie, or boyish too early on. The idea being that they should arrive at their natural inclination in their own due time, and if everything they have ever been surrounded with is princess pink, or race car driver blue then they do not have the right environment to gravitate toward what is right for them. I guess the conclusion many parents have come to is that they are not staunch on this topic at all, instead they are mystified as to what the correct thing to do is. In response, their has been a trend toward painting, and decorating babies rooms non-gender specific colours such as shades of green, yellow and orange. Only time will tell how things will evolve with this topic, but the act of detaching from the traditional blues and pinks are a welcomed change anyway.
